Chicken & Dumplin's (Mine and Matt's favorite)
2-3 boneless chicken breast
2 qts of chicken broth
1 stick of butter
3 cups of self rising flour
1 cup of milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
salt & pepper to taste
Place chicken & butter in large pot. Add chicken broth. Boil until chicken is done.
Dumplings: Place flour in in large bowl and make a well in center. Add milk and vegetable oil. Stir to make a firm dough. Knead a few times until dough is no longer sticky. Add more flour if neccessary.
Roll out dough on floured surface and cut into strips. Drop dough into broth. Stir frequently. Water may be added to make a larger quantity without diluting flavor. Add salt and pepper to taste. cook 10-15 min's on low

What a great picture of you! You are cute! That recipe looks yummy. I've never had dumpligs but I have heard of them. I never knew dumplings could be like that, I always thought dumplings were like little balls of dough!
Aw thanks!! They are delicious! If you dont have a lot of time, you can also just use the regular homestyle can biscuits (not flaky or buttery, just regular) and just break 1-2 inch pieces into the pot. It's pretty good too!!!
Yummo! I don't make mine very homemade, but this looks fantastic. And I got a great roller pin and mat for our wedding that I should use....a year and a half later!
